Chris Carpenter Finally Retires

The teams ace finally makes a decision to retire. He has spent nine years with the Cardinals in which he was selected to the All-Star team three times and became a Cy Young Winner in 2005. The Cardinals would love to bring Carpenter back to work in the organization in some type of capacity. Chris was definitely highly regarded as a leader from Miller and Wacha. His insights could very well be an important factor for the 2014 team. With fifteen years in Major League Baseball Carp has the a total of 144 wins and 94 loses which gives him an overall ERA of 3.76. Carp has made a home here as one of St. Louis’s favorite sons. As you walk into the sunset of your life in baseball the sun will always shine on you even in darkness- Joe McBrayer
