Tony LaRussa has been a busy man since his retirement as the St. Louis Cardinals skipper in 2011. After his retirement LaRussa took a job as executive vice president for MLB operations. In December of 2013 he was voted into the Hall of Fame and will also be inducted in the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame Museum this summer. On May 17th he accepted the position of Chief Baseball Officer for the Arizona Diamondbacks, his main job is to oversee the entire baseball operations department. I have a strong feeling that Kevin Towers and Kirk Gibson’s job is on the line. It sure looks like LaRussa followed Dave McKay and Dave Duncan that already has roots in the Diamondbacks organization.
