Since being an Alumni of Kirkwood High School and being involved with the Kirkwood Pioneers Football team for four years I could not pass up sharing this information with you all that are alums of Kirkwood High School..
Monday, Nov. 24
Turkey Week kicks off Monday, Nov. 24 as students and staff members wear orange and black to school for Tacky Day. That evening, members of KHS clubs and grade levels will decorate the halls with spectacular displays emphasizing a Turkey Day theme and team pride.
Tuesday, Nov. 25
Tuesday, November 25 is Spirit Day. Students and staff wear red and white to show Pioneer Pride. A school-wide pep really will be held in the David Holley Assembly Hall from 1:50-2:40 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 26, 5-7:30 p.m. –
Kirkwood School District Foundation Turkey Day Chili Bowl Cook-Off
On Thanksgiving Eve, the tradition continues at a new time and in a new location in the Kirkwood High School Cafeteria and Walker Commons. Community members are invited to sample chili prepared by area restaurants and vote on the best chili in town. The Pioneer Sponsor is USA Mortgage. The Booster Sponsors are Des Peres Hospital, Jim Butler Auto Group and Five Star Burgers. The Gold K Level Sponsors are Cat’s Meow, Four Seasons St. Louis and State Farm.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students, K-12. Advance tickets are on sale now at all KSD school offices and the District’s central office. Proceeds benefit KSD students and staff.
Stick around for the annual Turkey Day Pep Rally at 7 p.m. in David Holley Assembly Hall, followed by the traditional bonfire on the field at Chopin and Dougherty Ferry Road.

Turkey Day Football Alumni Breakfast
Join the 2014 KHS Football team at 8 a.m. in the KHS Cafeteria for the annual Turkey Day Football Breakfast. The event is not just for former players but also for all family members, booster supporters and fans. Tickets are $15 per person.
This year’s speaker is Steve Stewart, KHS ’81. Stewart is the Kansas City Royals Radio pre-game host and play-by-play broadcaster.

Thanksgiving Day and Turkey Day Game
Kickoff for the main event—the Turkey Day Game—is at noon at Moss Field in Webster Groves.
Tickets for the Turkey Day Game are on sale in the KHS athletic office from 8 a.m. to
4 p.m. Tickets are $7 in advance or $10 at the game. Tickets are also available at the District’s central office and in elementary and middle school offices. Proceeds from advance tickets sold in the Kirkwood School District are contributed to KHS programs. Proceeds from tickets sold at the gate are divided between Kirkwood and Webster Groves. KHS Soccer Alumni Game-Friday, Nov. 28, 11 a.m.
KHS soccer alumni and friends are invited to play or cheer from the sidelines in the annual Coach Frank Czapla Memorial Soccer Game. Alumni will meet at Frank Czapla Field at 11 a.m. A co-ed alumni game will be played on the E.L. Lyons Memorial Stadium field.

KHS Water Polo Alumni Game – Friday, November 28, 3-5 p.m.
All KHS water polo alumni and friends are invited to participate in the annual Turkey Day Water Polo Game on Friday, November 28, at 3 p.m. The site for the event is to be determined. KHS Football Alumni Game-Saturday, November 29, 11:30 a.m.
The annual 7v7 KHS vs Webster Groves Flag Football Game will be held at 11:30 a.m. on the field of E.L. Lyons Memorial Stadium. Everyone is encouraged to attend as individuals are needed to help run the scoreboard, game clock, video cameras and cheer! Be sure to wear your old football jersey or Kirkwood Red. After the game, the group will head out for snacks and drinks at J Greene’s Pub.
