The St. Louis Cardinals have started taking orders for Redbird Relics: Treasures from the St. Louis Cardinals Museum, a high-quality hardback 144-page coffee-table style book that celebrates the rich history and heritage of the franchise. The team anticipates high demand for the first-of-its-kind keepsake collectible, and is taking orders now to ensure delivery before the holidays.
“Redbird Relics takes you inside the incredible collection of memorabilia from the Cardinals Hall of Fame and Museum,” said Bill DeWitt III, President of the Cardinals. “This beautiful book helps tell the remarkable story of our franchise through our amazing museum collection.”
Stories and photos of artifacts from many of the club’s greatest moments are showcased, including the first-pitched ball from the 1926 World Series, Stan Musial’s final game jersey, Bob Gibson’s 1968 Cy Young Award, David Freese’s shredded jersey from Game 6 of the 2011 World Series, and many more. Featuring over 300 artifacts in rich, full-color photography with accompanying essays, Redbird Relics is the next best thing to being at the Cardinals Museum.
“When you play Major League Baseball, you are in the memory-making business, and no franchise has more great memories than the St. Louis Cardinals,” said Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith. “Redbird Relics is a gem of a book highlighting Cardinals artifacts and the stories behind them. It will inspire you to visit the Museum in person – a place where you can ‘Go crazy, folks!’”
