Mark Buehrle Wants to pitch for the Cardinals

cardsmarkThere has been several times in which I have read and heard Mark Buehrle mention that he would love to play for the Cardinals before he calls it quits. Just recently Bob Elliot of The Toronto Sun reports free agent starting pitcher Mark Buehrle, will either retire or pitch for the Cardinals — his childhood hometown team — in 2016. The Cardinals at this time has not had any conversations with Buehrle in regards to pitching for his childhood team. I think he would make a great addition to the team even though he is 36 years old. He does have plenty of gas in his tank. He posted a 15-8 record along with a 3.81 ERA over 198.2 innings. What would it hurt to add him to the rotation with a one year contract. His fierce competitive edge would help boost the rotation. As a Cardinal Fan In would love to see this happen.
